Yoga is an ideal activity to encourage participation by pupils who are less confident about team sports or reluctant to take part in more traditional PE classes. It also supports PSHE / MSRC by encompassing SEAL curriculum. Through physical exercise and calming techniques children learn how to cooperate with others, develop self awareness, and respect for self and others. Yoga helps to promote the spiritual, physical, moral and mental development of children. Children’s & Teen yoga is fun, creative and non-competitive and the use of animated poses and basic stretching exercises promote strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. Breathing, mindfulness and visualisation techniques teach children how to focus, relax and develop self-control. Regular yoga practice has been linked to improved memory and concentration, reduces stress and profoundly support children's mental health. I am fully qualified to teach children’s and adult yoga and have delivered well being days to years 10 and 11 in Ribble Valley and Blackburn schools. There are many ways in which yoga classes can be incorporated into the learning experience offered by your school. I am available to teach sessions as part of the core PE curriculum or as part of the Extended Schools initiative pupils can be offered the chance to join a before or after school club. I can also offer lunch time classes, holiday clubs or one off sessions for special events such as Wonder Week or Healthy Schools Week etc.
It happens to even the most dedicated fitness enthusiasts – sometimes, you just have to cancel a class without much notice at all. Yoga class sizes are restricted, so booking in advance is a requirement and I also have to pay out for rent in advance and a weeks notice is require for cancellation. I want to help you balance your busy life and your fitness routine so if you are unable to attend a reservation you booked, please keep our cancellation policy in mind: Late cancellation fee: if you cancel a reservation within 12 hours of the start time, you will be charged a class fee Missed class fee: if you miss a reservation without cancelling, you will be charged a class fee Missed classes within a YOGA class course you will be charged a class fee.
